RSA Authentication on Windows Server
I've set set 2 Factor authentication for VPNs and even to login to the management plane of network devices, but never to login to an OS. I've already got an RSA SecureID server running, so I won't go through that.
First, I needed to download the RSA Authentication agent for windows. Assuming your account has access you can download from here.
Once I did that I ran the 64bit installer since I am installing on Server 2012R2
As I ran through the installer I realized I needed to create the agent on the RSA server and generate a configuration file
I logged into the server and created the authentication agent and generated the config file, and locked the agent down to domain admins. I added the file in the installation and moved on.
I set it to challenge all users except local admins.
I can;t log back after logging out. I'll need to run some monitors in RSA. Luckily I have another Server to login to.
Nothing shows up in RSA, but I can login to the server with my password
This is a domain controller, and I am in domain admins which is in the built in admin group. So I changed it to challenge all users. and now it asks for a passcode as well as my password.
